SUBMISSIONS FOR THIS GRANT FUNDING HAS NOW CLOSED

The Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) is pleased to release a grant round targeting suicide prevention capacity building projects and activities through our Health Grants Program.

Examples of capacity building could be awareness campaigns, targeted training, resource development, mentoring programs, communities of practice, networking/forums around suicide prevention, low intensity community-based resilience education/activities or service mapping.

By funding community grants we can address the needs of individual communities and better support them in suicide prevention.

These grants are targeted towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and Older Persons who experience higher rates of suicide.

Invitations for submissions are now open across the HNECC PHN region for one-off grants ranging from $20,000 - $100,000. Closing date to submit your application has been extended to is 5.00 pm Friday 22 November 2019.

HOW TO APPLY

We are committed to supporting equitable access to grant opportunities to all types and sizes of organisations across our region. We recognise that traditional written word-based application forms may be challenging for some organisations, and we can be missing out on excellent opportunities to support ideas and projects that promote better health outcomes for our community.

In response to this, HNECC PHN is trialing some different ways of applying for grant funding which are listed below. We will assess the effectiveness of these methods in assessing grant applications for potential use in the future.

There are three different ways to apply for the Suicide Prevention Capacity Building Grants which are aimed at improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Older people:
