The Primary Health Network for the Hunter, New England and Central Coast (Primary Health Network) is committed to working with the region’s GPs to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the health care system.
Feedback from GP practices in some parts of our region has revealed difficulty in recruiting GPs due to the Commonwealth Government’s Distribution Priority Area (DPA) Policy^.
We are working with local GPs to reduce barriers to recruiting GPs in areas of high need.
The information obtained from the survey will be used to identify areas of primary care workforce vulnerability across the region and to identify possible improvements to the current approach to allocating the GP workforce. Your response to the survey is vital and will help shape our policy paper to the Commonwealth Department of Health on this important issue.
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and should ideally be completed by the GP Owner/CEO, Practice Principal or Practice Manager.
The survey will close on Friday, October 23, 2020.
