Contribute to the redesign of Universal Aftercare offerings across the region

Hunter, New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (The PHN) is inviting providers and partners to contribute to the Universal Aftercare model redesign, to align aftercare offerings to the national model through a request for tender process.

In 2022, the Australian Government invested $121.3 million across five years, signing a bilateral agreement between the Commonwealth and NSW governments for Universal Aftercare services. This investment will assist the State in providing universal access to aftercare services, to provide support to individuals following a suicide attempt or in suicidal crisis.

The PHN’s intention to consolidate Federal and State funded aftercare models within the bilateral Universal Aftercare project aims to streamline the various models of care. Universal Aftercare will continue to offer assertive non-clinical aftercare following a suicide attempt or for a person experiencing suicidal distress.

You’re invited to join a face-to-face consultation or submit feedback through PeopleBank with the goal to redesign a fit-for-purpose model encompassing community feedback and determine what barriers and opportunities exist for providers in delivering this service. *** Please advise your preferred attendance by completing the RSVP survey by 5pm Monday 19 August ***
