Are you looking to appoint a GP advisor for each of the positions?

Yes.  There will be a separate advisor engaged for each position.

Is expressions of interest limited to certain regions?

No, applications are welcome from GPs across the Hunter, New England and Central Coast.

The only exception is the advisor position for the Hunter New England Integrated Care Partnership.  For this role we would require interest from GPs located in the Hunter or New England.

What is the time commitment for the roles?

As the focus of each position is different, the time commitment will vary for each role.  As this is an expression of interest, we are open to discussing the needs of the roles and the availability of those who express an interest.  A retainer will be offered to successful appointments to ensure certainty of payment, with formal commitments negotiated with successful advisors.

What is the process of appointing advisors?

A panel (which includes clinical representation) will assess the expressions of interest for each role and initiate interviews with those who meet the requirements of the position.  Should suitable GPs be identified during this process, the panel will recommend position appointments.  If there are no suitable expressions of interest, a further round inviting submissions may be undertaken.

    Will appointments be made public?

Yes.  Appointments to each advisor position will be made public and communicated to the primary care community.

Where can I get further information?
