Location: Glen Innes and surrounds, NSW Commitment: Voluntary Governance Role Closing Date: Monday 22 September 2025, 12pm.
The Glen Innes CARE Co-operative Ltd is now officially registered — and we’re entering a pivotal phase in our journey to transform rural health. As a community-owned co-operative, we’re building a new model of care that’s locally driven, inclusive, and designed to meet the unique needs of Glen Innes and surrounds.
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Board and help shape the future of health and wellbeing in our region.

Company Secretary and Public Officer Role (1 x position)
This is a critical governance role at a formative time for the Co-operative. As Secretary, you will support the Board to govern the Co-operative to a high standard and in compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining statutory registers and records
Coordinating board meetings and AGM processes
Advising on governance best practices
Liaising with regulators and stakeholders
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in corporate governance, legal compliance, or board administration
Strong organisational and communication skills
Familiarity with co-operative or not-for-profit structures (preferred)
Board Director (1 x position)
As a Director, you’ll help guide the strategic direction of the Co-operative and ensure our mission is grounded in community values. Ideal candidates will have experience in:
Experience in governance, community services, health, or business
Finance, law, or business strategy
Rural advocacy and lived experience
Directors will:
Attend bi-monthly board meetings (in-person or virtual)
Contribute to strategic planning and oversight
Champion community engagement and transparency
Uphold fiduciary and governance responsibilities
