Invitation to submit for the PHN's 2026 Allied Health Conference #StrongerTogether

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 3rd Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (PHN) 2026 Allied Health Conference – Stronger Together. We are excited to invite abstract submissions for presenters to join us on the day!

Whether you're just starting out or you’re well-established in your Allied Health career, we want to hear from you. No idea is too small — your insights and experiences matter.

Why Submit?

· Excellent opportunity to showcase your work and ideas with a wide audience across the region

· Contribute to critical thoughts to encourage innovation and collaboration within Allied Health

· Engage and network with a broad variety of like-minded peers and leaders in the sector

· Gain recognition and professional development

Who Should Apply?

Allied Health professionals in private practice, researchers, educators, and any stakeholders that collaborate with Allied Health are encouraged to submit. Whether you're in clinical practice, academia, policy, or support roles, your voice matters. We highly encourage submission from rural professionals for eligible practices and will offer the opportunity to apply for a rural scholarship (Link rural scholarship) towards the cost of the registration ticket, travel and accommodation.

We also strongly encourage submissions from people of all backgrounds. Whether you identify with a particular race, ethnicity, culture, gender, intersex status, ability, sexual orientation, or religion and belief—your unique perspective is valued and encouraged. This is an inclusive event, and we’re committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space for everyone.

What Are We Looking For?

Allied Health success stories! We welcome abstracts from presenters that demonstrate and are aligned with the conference theme Collaboration and Connection as well as the following sub-themes:

· Innovation and digital transformation

· Workforce for the future

· Integration and multidisciplinary care

· Equity of access to primary health care services

Submissions are sought for:

· 15-minute spotlight presentations - Each 15-minute presentation includes 3 minutes for questions.

· 5-minute lightning presentations - A maximum of 3 PowerPoint slides.

*Please note, presenters will be photographed and recorded during the conference for PHN promotional purposes.

The conference will be delivered as a hybrid event, however in-person delivery onsite at Mingara Recreational Club is preferred. A limited number of pre-recorded submissions for lightning presentations will be considered from rural practices.

Please let us know your preferred presentation format (spotlight or lightning) when submitting as there are limited places for the 15-minutes oral presentation. You may be asked to consider an alternative format and will be advised and confirmed whether you wish to proceed with the new format.

Successful presentation abstracts will be provided with strictly ONE complimentary registration to the conference. Any other costs incurred to attend the conference, such as travel, and accommodation are the responsibility of the presenter unless the PHN rural scholarship application is successful.

All abstract submissions will be reviewed by a panel – submissions with high relevance to a variety of Allied Health Professionals will be highly regarded. Abstract authors will be notified of acceptance, rejection or change of format via email or phone call. Presenters are required to confirm their acceptance.

Important Dates:

· Abstract Submission Close: 5:00pm, Friday, 31 October 2025

· Notification of Acceptance: by early December 2025
